MEET ERIC WANG
Southlake Resident since '98, Carroll Salutatorian '09, Rice Owl '13, Dragon Dad '41
... Just a few blurbs about me, but a quick peek on why Southlake and Texas are weaved into my DNA, my upbringing, my family, and my future. From country roads to State Football Championships to where we are today - I know Southlake and am committed to Southlake.
After serving on several Southlake Boards and hearing residents concerned about the absence of the younger generation serving our city - I am announcing my candidacy for Southlake City Council, Place 6.
I grew up in Southlake since '98 - starting out in Rockenbaugh and then proudly graduating as Salutatorian for the Carroll class of '09. After obtaining my Bioengineering degree & Business minor from Rice University, I met my wife Jeslyn in Houston and worked in business & analytics consulting before moving my roots back to Southlake in '18. Since then, I have served on numerous boards: Building Board of Appeals ('18-'22), Community Engagement Committee ('21-'22), Community Enhancement & Development Corporation ('22+).
My wife and I have a 2-yr old boy who will be a Dragon Class of '41, so you know I will not be going anywhere and the future of Southlake has a very impact on my family and friends!
Professionally, I am the Texas Data & Analytics leader for a Business & Tech consulting firm where I not only advise organizations on AI and data strategies but mentor our firm's next generation of talent nationally. I bring new perspectives that are shaped by the rapid-fire, cutting-edge change happening around us and have no conflicts of interest. My only interest is serving the residents & our city.
It is not only time to Protect the Tradition, but it is time to Pass the Baton to the Next Generation of Leaders so that our children and their children can enjoy the Quality that Southlake is known for with fresh leadership committed to the vision of the future.

We have brought world-class amenities to our city. Instead of chasing the next shiny object - we need to invest tax dollars on what matters most: our infrastructure that serves us everyday.
School & Community Partnership
Re-establish the Joint Use Committee with City & School Leaders and Citizen representatives.
